Sarah takes a warm, person-centered and experiential approach to therapy. At the heart of her work is her value of creating a safe space to explore topics together.
Sarah draws on a variety of therapeutic modalities including Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT), mindfulness, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Somatic Experiencing (Intermediate III Level), and The Gottman Method. She has special interests and experience in working with couples, trauma, pregnancy/postpartum, eating disorders, BPD, ADHD, anxiety, and depression. Sarah also offers sessions for young girls ages 6-12 who are experiencing generalized anxiety.
Sarah holds a Bachelor of Science in Behavioural Neuroscience from Memorial University of Newfoundland, and Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. Sarah is a Registered Psychotherapist (RP) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (#12780) and a Canadian Certified Counsellor with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (#10008026).
